In order to make Bangladesh a knowledge and information technology dependent upper middle income country, the Department of Information and Communication Technology is implementing activities to develop ICT infrastructure, support e-governance, develop the ICT industry and develop human resources through sustainable development in building a digital Bangladesh (Vision-2041). As part of this, all the officials working in the Kushtia District Office and Upazila Office of the Department of Information and Communication Technology are providing various kinds of information and technology based services, advice and technical support to the people of all levels including all government departments of the district. At the district and upazila level, e-document activities are underway in more than 110 government departments and more than 200 departments are connected to the national information window. With the aim of expanding ICT, information and communication technology day 2018, digital Bangladesh day 2018, 2019, 2020, national internet week, national development fair-2018, 2019, 2020 programming contests have been organized at district level. Under the project titled "Establishment of Computer and Language Training Labs in Educational Institutions Across the Country", the process of setting up 22 Sheikhs in the 1st phase and 16 in the 2nd phase and 17 in the 3rd phase and a total of 55 Sheikh Russell Digital Labs including 1 Language and Sheikh Russell Digital Labs has been completed. In Kushtia district, training and internship activities have been completed in three categories of Freelancer to Entrepreneur, IT Service Provider and Women Call Center Agent through the project "Empowerment of Women with Technology" implemented by Department of Information and Communication Technology. In order to enhance their professional skills, Sheikh Russell Digital Lab has trained 175 teachers in Basic ICT in Education Literacy, Troubleshooting and Maintenance training, created 350 freelancers through Learning and Learning project, organized National Children and Adolescent Programming Competition and trained 220 programming children At the district level, e-document training has been imparted to about 800 government officials and employees and national information window training has been imparted to about 400 people. In-house training of each department has been imparted to about 150 officers / employees through e-documentation sessions. The CAMS software developed by the ICT Department has provided humanitarian assistance to the Prime Minister among 80,000 beneficiaries in Kushtia district and technical assistance has been provided to provide 75,000 registered Kovid-19 vaccines in the district through security software.
